Το σαπούνι Καστίλης έλκει τις ρίζες του από το παλαιότερο σαπούνι Χαλεπίου (Aleppo soap) και αποτελεί το θεμέλιο λίθο της σαπωνοποιΐας καθώς έχει πάρα πολλές χρήσεις στη φροντίδα τόσο του σώματος όσο και του νοικοκυριού!
Τον όγδοο μ.Χ. αιώνα η τέχική της σαπωνοποιΐας ήταν γνωστή στις χώρες της Μεσογείου και ειδικά στους Ιταλούς και Ισπανούς.
Οι Ισπανοί της περιοχής της Καστίλης όμως ήταν εκείνοι που για την παρασκευή του σαπουνιού αντικατέστησαν το δαφνέλαιο (μη έχοντας εύκολη την προμήθειά του από τη Συρία) ή τα διάφορα λίπη που χρησιμοποιούντο μέχρι πρότινος, με το ελαιόλαδο, σε ποσοστό 100%! Εξ ου και από την περιοχή αυτή πήρε το όνομά του το σαπούνι Καστίλης.
Το σαπούνι αυτό αν και θέλει περισσότερο χρόνο ωρίμανσης για να αποκτήσει τις μέγιστες των δυνατοτήτων του, είναι εξαιρετικά απαλό για το δέρμα, έχει θρεπτικές και ενυδατικές ιδιότητες και μπορεί να χρησιμοποιηθεί ποικιλοτρόπως είτε στη φροντίδα του σώματος είτε του σπιτιού!
Αν και δεν κάνει πολύ πλούσιο αφρό και είναι μαλακό, καθαρίζει καλά και είναι ιδανικό για το ευαίσθητο και το παιδικό δέρμα! Άλλωστε ο πλούσιος αφρός είναι ένα εφέ πρόσθετο, σημείο των μοντέρνων καιρών και δεν προσφέρει τίποτα στη διαδικασία καθαρισμού.
Σήμερα με τον όρο σαπούνι Καστίλης εννούμε κάθε σαπούνι που περιέχει πολύ μεγάλο ποσοστό ελαιολάδου και δεν περιέχει ζωικά λίπη και άλλα πρόσθετα χημικά συστατικά.
Για να ικανοποιηθούν όμως τα γούστα του μοντέρνου καταναλωτή στα κοινά σαπούνια του εμπορίου προσθέτουν αφριστικά χημικά συστατικά-επικύνδινα για την υγεία και επιβαρυντικά για το περιβάλλον- και τροποποιούν τη σύνθεση ελαίου προσθέτοντας ζωικά λίπη-ύποπτα για δερματικούς ερεθισμούς- για να τους προσδώσουν σκληρότητα και να λειώνουν δύσκολα.
Στα χειροποίητα φυσικά σαπούνια Rania K, σεβόμαστε τον άνθρωπο και το περιβάλλον! Γι΄αυτό χρησιμοποιούμε αγνό παρθένο ελαιόλαδο παραγωγής μας και προσθέτουμε κάποια επιπλέον ευγενή φυτικά έλαια με καλλυντικές ιδιότητες και ιδιότητες που βελτιώνουν την υφή των σαπουνιών μας με εντελώς φυσικό τρόπο. Δεν χρησιμοποιούμε κανενός είδους χημικό συστατικό για συντηρητικό, πρόσθετο αφρισμό ή χρωματισμό.
